Who Was Chanakya? Chanakya (350 - 275 BC).  He was prime minister in chandragupta maurya territory between (321 - 297 )BC. He wrote Arthashastra It is a instructional guide to younger Chandragupta . This book is all about how to rule . He also served to the last king the nandy dynasty Dhanananda. He rule the kingdom of Magadha . Chanakya was scholar from university of Taxila . Chandragupta tested chanakya and appointed him to teach for younger chandragupta.He teached younger chandragupta for more than seven years. The Arthashastra made chandragupta to conqueror many areas after his death the book Arthashastra was passed to Bindusara from (297 - 273)BC.and then it passed to chandragupta grandson Ashoka the great from (268-232)BC. The Arthashastra was disappeared after Ashoka the great death and the book was lost and found by Rudrapatna shamasastry in 1905 CE . Rudrapatna is a sanskrit scholar.
