WHO WAS ANTISTHENES OF ATHENES  Antisthenes of Athens ( 445 - 365 BCE). He was a greek philosopher who founded the cynic academy . He was a follower of socrates and he also appears in platos book phaedo  about his appearance at Socrates death . He was also a primary information to xenophon.  Antisthenes argued that he have learned  arete  from Socrates and moreover   arete  could be taught. He was the first philosopher in cynic school . THE CYNIC SCHOOL  The cynic school was characterized by discipline. And not wearing any luxurious items and not to bring them to the academy .  There wer no status followed between the students and the cynic school says all are equal . ANTISTHENES DEATH Antisthenes died in Athens by disease. He is said to have borne disease which brought him death with calm.
