WHO WAS ARCHYTAS? Archytas (428 BC ) was a greek philosopher who was born in Tarentum , Magna Graecia which is now southern Italy.  Archytas was philosopher,  a states man , orator , astronomer etc., He was the one who invented the first propelled self flying device known as the Flying pigeon . Archytas teacher was philolaus. He became a pythagorean and he believed studying pythagorean can resolve every questions . He separated mathematics into four branches such as arithmetic, geometry, astronomy and music . ARCHYTAS - FLYING BIRD  Archytas invented Flying bird which resembled a bird and it is made of wood . It was the first studies on how the bird flies.The lightweight Flying bird is hollow and cylindrical inside . The front of bird is like real beak structure . The air flows through hollow cylindrical structure and the heated air push up the bird . It is sometime referred to as first robot. ARCHYTAS DEATH  Archytas was died in a shipwreck in (347
